Yahoo ad network launching |
It’s just about time for an ad fight at the web corral. Yahoo is planning on moving in on the ’small’ publishers to work Google Adsense territory with its new ad network which some are saying is launching Wednesday 8/3/2005:
Some of the main differences between the Google product and what Yahoo is offering is that Yahoo is actively going after the growing online medium of blogs … Yahoo is looking to possibly challenge Google’s pricing power as well by spliting the fees from clicks generated on ads from a website.
Yahoo has really been on the move lately. It’s late Tuesday night as I post this and nothing new yet in the Yahoo Publisher Network camp to confirm/deny but tomorrowI’ll try and get screenshots and more information as soon as and/or if it becomes available. Would like to give this a try on at least one of our blogs in place of Adsense.
Update 8/3/05: They have launched, but it’s [arggg] available on an invite-only basis.
Did this post make you go hmm?

We put our request in on the day it was announced beta, so if you submitted on the same day — August 3 — keep watching for the acceptance email with the code to setup an account. Code is only good for setting up one account. […]
