On Aug 12 US Sony PSP gets web browser |
For those feeling estranged by the Japanese version of the Sony PSP firmware 2.0 being released with a web browser, good news in the US is on the horizon, via IGN:
Sony announced the release date today of the next firmware update for American Playstation Portables. Beginning August 12, 2005, users can download Firmware Upgrade 2.0, which gives westerners a web browser, photo sharing options, a customizable interface, broader network connectivity, and a few tweaks to the audio and video play back.
I was at Wal-Mart the other night and almost bought Starship Troopers ($14.99, not bad) on UMD. Almost. A movie like that or TRON would be really cool on the small screen. I can see paying $10-$15 for a UMD, but no way for $29.99 as I’ve seen with some titles.
Did this post make you go hmm?
