This is a leftover from our vacation last month, but something I’ve talked to a few folks about recently. While in Primm, Nevada we bought all day passes for their small amusement park. One of their rides is a Turbo Drop. You are pulled up to 150+ feet and dead dropped.

My son and I coming down for the first time and the left lens in my glasses popped out — literally — as I was falling. I reached out while dropping and grabbed the lens in mid-air.

Landing, I’m feeling better about not dropping my glass lens. I would take the turbo drop (without glasses) several more times that day.
