MyWeb 2.0 from Yahoo released |

I’ve been using Yahoo MyWeb 1.0 for a little while now time and have amassed over 150 links in various categories. The cool thing about it is that I can save pages in the state they were in when I visited so that if I return later and the page is down I have a reference copy. The typical bookmark isn’t going to give that history.
With the purchase of Flickr, it seems natural that the Y! camp would be doign more of what people are calling folksonomy. I’m not a big fan for all these social networking names, just show me how I can use it and be more productive. Yahoo has now released MyWeb 2.0 which turns categories into “tags” and allows three levels of privacy: user only, user and “community” of friends/associates/contacts and everyone.
A separate search engine for searching across these tagged items is available so that one can more easily find their tagged information.
There is a new blog and discussion area to go along with MyWeb2.0 and the developer area still allows access to any tags marked as available to everyone.
Something I wasn’t able to figure out how to do with an admittedly swift overview was how to make all links in a tag “everyone.” The one at a time thing would get old fast so there must be some simple way to do that like there was in version 1.0. Anybody know how to do that?
Did this post make you go hmm?
