Google working on PayPal rival? |
The Wall Street Journal reported late yesterday that Google is going to release an electronic payment system.
Online search-engine leader Google Inc. is preparing to introduce an electronic payment system later this year in a move that would pose a financial threat to one of its biggest advertisers, Internet auctioneer eBay Inc.
If this turns out to be true, ideas for names? GooglePayments is my guess. I checked WHOIS and GooglePay was already taken (not by Google).
Update 6/21/05: RealTechNews checked and says Googlebucks.com is registered.
Did this post make you go hmm?

That actually would be great if Google did it or some other 3 party. Paypal has had to much of a stronghold in that area and they arnt the greatest. There are to many complaints out there.
