Will gamers bite Nintendogs? |

No need to worry about cleaning up after the pooch on your real carpet anyway in this puppy simulator for the Nintendo DS called Nintendogs is coming in August 2005:
Players purchase one of several breeds available at the beginning, then start spending time with their pup. They throw flying discs and balls to improve the pup’s agility, bathe it when it gets dirty and use their own personal voice commands to train the dog to do tricks. If players train it well enough, they will excel in obedience and agility trials and disc competitions, which will earn money that they can use to buy other supplies and puppy breeds.
It sounds a little bit like The Sims meets Animal Crossing. Said it before, but bears repeating that Nintendo comes up with some wild and wacky video game devices and ideas. Many arrive courtesy of legendary gaming guru, Shigeru Miyamoto who Wired says can’t stop thinking up video games. If Nintendo didn’t have him, I think they would have had to say Uncle and go the Sega games-only path.
Definitely looking forward to the New Super Mario Bros, paying homage to its 2D platformer roots.
Did this post make you go hmm?

[…] That title is Nintendogs which I talked about a couple months ago. I will always like Mario, but I still am wondering if it’s not getting past time that Nintendo should just say Uncle like Sega did and make games for Sony and Microsoft’s system? […]
