Who are any of you to criticize a man who has accomplished more in a decade then all of you have had in your lives? Is anybody so pure that they can freely criticize someone else knowing that they themselves are "innocent" or free of any kind of regret or guilt? Sure, Oliver Stone drinks, and hell, he may even have some kind of problem with his drinking and doing drugs or want not, but please realize, they are HIS problems. It is up to him what he does. Nobody has any business talking, or bitching, or doing whatever about Stone. In fact, if he wasn't such a widely known and popular movie director, if he was Uncle Jack or Aunt Susie, or even Mom or Dad, who would care? Would millions of people know? Or, what if it was you? Would you want to be constantly talked about badly? Because Stone is well known around the world does that mean that he should be a "role-model" of sorts? Why should he meet, or have to meet, "America's standards"; or any others' for that matter? An individual will remain an individual, no matter what other people say. Especially if they are millionaire who are well-known around the world. Now, is that right? Maybe, maybe not. But, is it up to anybody else to decide or critique over? I don't think so. So next time any of you go to critique someone else, stop to take a look at yourselves any maybe you can even go so far as to ask yourselves, "What makes me so much better?".
