Budweiser, my beer of choice on the somewhat rare occasion that I drink anything with alcohol, has hired those clever JibJab guys (date of birth form request required):

The video at www.budweiser.com features the two lizards resplendent in top hats and vests as they twirl a cane and dance to the polka classic “Roll Out The Barrel” while inviting customers to drop their martinis for beer. Budweiser also said it would work with JibJab on a series of projects in 2005, developing videos for potential use on television and the Internet.

The commercial itself is a bit weak and uninspired compared to their past productions. I was hoping for something a little more adult after filling in my date of birth (like that’s going to prevent underage people from viewing the brief movie). How about a Janet Jackson robe malfunction? C’mon guys. Since you threw up a warning form, along with that nice, cold Bud let’s see some skin and sin!

Seriously, this is a great, well-deserved gig for Gregg and Evan Spiridellis of JibJab. Congratulations!
