FeedDemon purchased by Newsgator

blogs and podcasting — by TDavid @ 9:18 am PST

Chris Pirillo interviews Nick Bradbury on why he sold FeedDemon to Newsgator. Unless I missed it, the interview doesn’t indicate whether or not FeedDemon’s name will be changing (hope not), but does state that existing FeedDemon customers will get two years of the Newsgator Online services for free.

  1. Actually, I don’t believe Chris did the interview. He just copy/pasted it from the Newsgator site.

  2. […] On the Mac, NetNewsWire is an excellent RSS Reader and today NewsGator bought NetNewsWire. Back in May, Newsgator bought FeedDemon. Greg Reinacker explains what’s coming: In the next few months, we’ll release a new version of NetNewsWire that will synchronize seamlessly with the NewsGator Online platform, and by extension, all other products that use this platform. So, for example, you’ll be able to use NetNewsWire at home, FeedDemon or Outlook edition at work, Mobile edition on the road, and Web edition in an internet cafe. And no matter which product you use, your feeds, read/unread states, and other relevant data will be kept in sync. Good stuff - expect no less. […]
