Blogger finally adds moblogging |

It seems that Google’s interest in Blogger has been revitalized again. Recently they switched their Googleblog to their Blogspot domain and today Friday they are announcing announced a free moblogging service for Blogger users.
The point is, we’ve launched Blogger Mobile. It’s nothing fancy, really. All you need to do to use it is send an email or MMS from your phone to go at blogger.com - and that’s it. We automatically create your blog, and whatever text or photos (or both) you send in the message becomes your post.
“Nothing fancy” is a bullseye; moblogging has been around for years now. However, it is a positive sign to see Google taking interest in Blogger again. I wonder if this renewed interest has anything to do with them beta testing advertising in RSS feeds?
BTW, check out how much time I’ve saved — 1.6 hours — since using the Google Accelerator (beta).
Update: I just tried this out with my Gmail blog and it works pretty slick. You send the picture and/or text and then it will respond with a message including your claim code. Enter the claim code here along with the CAPTCHA (that’s the picture with text) to verify you are human and not a bot, and then it will ask you what blog you want to send to. If it’s a blogspot-based blog then it will add the submission to your blogspot blog, but if it’s a blog on your own domain, then only future text/pictures sent from your phone.
Did this post make you go hmm?
