“Luke, I am your blogger.” - Darth Vader |
This is bound to be called “lame” by Scoble and Ruble, because they don’t like character blogs, but the master of the Dark Side is now blogging or, er, a close facsimile of the master anyway.
Yes, even the dark lord of the Empire has a blog now, and it turns out he’s a sensitive soul who, like anybody, has to put up with foolish underlings and cybernetic body malfunctions.
Being on Blogspot this doesn’t look too official to me though, so it’s more likely a fan character blogger. Certainly the real Jedi master has access to some cash to pay for his own blog?
Speaking of official, the official Star Wars website is looking pretty snazzy. You can download wallpaper, buddy icons, etc but where are the blog templates? I haven’t seen anybody do that since Sony did with Spider-man 2. That was a really good marketing idea IMO that apparently didn’t catch fire with many other movie sites.
I’ll be checking out this movie, just like I checked out the other five Star Wars movies. I’m expecting this one to be the closest in terms of quality to the original three because episodes #1 and #2 were boring. Sorry Star Wars geeks, I would much prefer have seen 7, 8, 9 rather than parts 1, 2, 3. It is possible Lucas will continue overworking his franchise and indeed produce parts 7, 8, and 9. Who doesn’t want to see a venerable, swashbuckling Han Solo, Princess Leia and the even more ancient Yoda?
From the previews it looks like Yoda really slices and dices in Star Wars III Revenge of the Sith. In theaters everywhere Thursday May 19.
Did this post make you go hmm?
