Google (FREE) Video Upload Program |
Ok, ok, after ourmedia.org and now Google adding free video uploading, I’m reinstalling Visual Communicator, via the Google Blog:
You worked hard making your video; you deserve an easy way to put it in front of millions of potential viewers. That’s the idea behind today’s announcement of the Google Video Upload Program, which lets you upload your video to Google for free.
Before you get too excited though about this, be sure to read the Google Video FAQ:
At this time, we’re only collecting videos for potential inclusion in the program. When we enter the next phase, users will be able to search, preview, purchase, and play your video – depending on your preferences.
There is also an option where you can charge for videos. Here are their preferred video specs:
NTSC (4:3) size and framerate, deinterlaced
Video Codec: MPEG2 or MPEG4 (MPEG4 preferred)
Video Bitrate: at least 260Kbps (750kbps preferred)
Audio Codec: MP3 vbr
Audio Bitrate: at least 70Kbps (128 Kbps preferred)
I’m downloaded the uploader but am getting login errors. Still have to work with this some more, I guess.
