Objection to Local Shared Objects, a new Firefox extension |

Do you object to the use of Local Shared Objects (LSO)? Feel sort of like they are a bad LSD trip? How do you get rid of these LSOs once they are on your computer? Good news, fellow developer, Greg Yardley, decided to do something to make it easier for users to delete LSOs, which are the relatively new Flash version of cookies. Greg got busy and wrote a Firefox extension to allow end users to easily delete LSOs from within the Privacy tab:
Objection 0.1 - a Firefox extension for deleting Local Shared Objects.
Greg defines Objection’s current development status as being in a “super beta ‘use at your own risk’ state” but this is a Firefox extension to at least bookmark and keep an eye on. Nice work, Greg!

0.2 is now available:
objection 0.2 is out! I’ve added the following to this upgrade from objection 0.1:
* Auto-detection of the Flash application data directory for Mac OS X & Linux, complementing the already-existing support for Windows;
* Manual specification and storage of the Flash application data directory’s location, for when auto-detection fails;
* A clear listing of the location, filename, size, parent, and full location of every Local Shared Object that objection finds, and the ability to delete them individually;
* Complete French, Spanish, and Italian language support.

Great start! This needs to have the options of the cookie manager. Most notably, the option to automatically clear all LSO’s when firefox closes.
Keep up the good work!
