Talk about jamming to legends, the University of Wisconsin-Madison — go Badgers! — held a different kind of rock concert.

To create buzz about an otherwise arcane subject, the University of Wisconsin-Madison showed off a tiny speck of zircon crystal believed to be the oldest known piece of Earth at about 4.4 billion years old.

I wonder what rock songs were covered during this event? “Rock N Roll All Night” by Kiss? “Rock Around The Clock”, “Rock Me” by Great White, “Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution” by AC DC?

Feel free to insert your favorite song with the word “rock” in it either via comments or trackback.
