Matt Haughey gets creative with Flickr and the new Google Maps Keyhole combo by annotating his childhood hangouts and people he knew using the Flicker annotation (Lifehacker calls this “voyeuristic”).

Inspired and motivated, Johnny Huh starts a Flickr group called Flickr: MemoryMaps:

Combining Google’s new satellite imagery with the photo sharing of Flickr to describe your old neighborhood or anything else you feel like putting up. Copious use of notes is highly encouraged.

Will this start a new trend? Don’t know, but 13, make that 14 members you have now, Johnny. I’ll ride along for awhile on this journey.
