When I started using Revenue Checker For Adsense in mid-April, there were some bugs and features missing. I joined the author's forum to discuss the issues. Within minutes of posting, the author responded, then went to work on the bugs. Before posting the updated program to the public, he sent it to me directly in email so I could test it. Only when I was satisfied with the results, he made the update available to everyone else.

During the first 2 weeks we were in contact almost daily to discuss some of the potential addititions to the program. Since the affiliate link doesn't have a sales page, I made my own and had it approved by the author the same day. With that kind of availability and response, what's there not to trust? I recommend this program to ALL our clients who want to earn additonal money with Google AdSense. This is the best way to track your progress (CHANNEL SUPPORT ROCKS) so you can tweak your pages and earn more.

Never once have I had a problem with security. If you're extra cautious, log into your AdSense account using bookmarks instead of the built-in link. But most of all, just let the program sit quietly in your system tray, do its job and give you a periodic report. Most family dogs aren't as well-behaved!

Mark K - thank you for stopping by and leaving your opinion. Do you have any specific knowledge or evidence that there are any security concerns with Revenue Checker for Adsense? If you do, then please post or trackback them, but if you don't then it's only your opinion. And honestly, it is a bit irresponsible without specific evidence to the contrary, don't you think?

As I said above, I bought this app, and I'm still using this app. I've used Fiddler to analyze the traffic and I've seen nothing that raises my concerns. So until you or somebody else shows me evidence proving otherwise, the answer to your question is: yes, I'd trust this particular application and author. I don't think it's authors, plural, it's an independent developer.

After writing the piece above a friend pointed out the free Firefox extension for Google Adsense, but that isn't as full-featured as this one (no graphs, no logging, etc). Also, if you check the history of that free extension the author wasn't even using encryption to begin with (they are now), which means user Adsense account information was passing in plain text!

Yowsa, that worries me <i>a lot more</i> than than Revenue Checker For Adsense which uses <a href="http://www.revenuecheckerforadsense.com/security.html" rel="nofollow">Triple DES</a>.

If there are bugs for the application, then visit the author's forum and work with him. I haven't had problems with it, though.

Do NOT pay for this software. Poorly written with many bugs. It also requires the bloated Microsoft .Net framework to work. Also, do you trust some unknown person / persons with your AdSense account login?

There are better programs and free scripts available for monitoring AdSense.
