Google Desktop out of beta in less than 6 months with SDK plugin push |

Google Desktop search out of beta in five months and with SDK push for plugins! (pictured above). Maybe they do listen to people complaining about them having neverending beta testing.
The Mountain View, Calif., company on Monday released a PC application for searching Microsoft Office documents, images, e-mail and Internet Explorer Web pages. Google Desktop, which had been in public beta for nearly five months, now includes search capabilities for video and music files, full PDFs and Web surfing history in three Web browsers, including the fast-growing Firefox.
Downloaded both app and SDK. I only used the Google desktop beta for a month or so and then uninstalled. Glad to see that now it can index PDFs and search history for multiple browsers and the SDK is an added bonus. My mind is already starting to percolate with some ideas for integrating the Google desktop search.
Did this post make you go hmm?
