Skype is close to passing the 75 million download mark (74,061,445 as of this writing) but we might as well say 75 million because they’ll be there quickly (by week’s end at their current rate of downloads). I already predicted (#20) that they’d reach 250+ million downloads this year (they’ll need to grow by about about 18 million downloads a month to reach that):

Skype will reach 250+ million downloads, but Skype’s founder still won’t come to the US for fear of being arrested.

The last time Stuart Henshall and I Skyped about Skype I mentioned I’d seen over two million users online and he said he hadn’t seen that yet. I wonder if he has by now? (Stuart?) The screenshot above shows that as of this writing there’s over two million skypers online.
