Within the next 30 days Meetup.com is introducing some new group features.

– OPTIONALLY specify a membership fee to be a member of your group
– OPTIONALLY specify an fee for specific events you hold
– OPTIONALLY collect funds from your members via PayPal

I like how they’ve chosen to be extremely upfront about the terms of service (TOS) by carrying the notice along the top in bright yellow that there have been TOS changes and specifically highlighting the words that have changed so that members can decide if these changes warrant altering their membership status. Well done, meetup.com!
