In an era when less and less couples are staying married, check out the Vail’s from Hugo via KSTP:

They couple met in 1923, when Clarence transferred into Mayme’s eighth grade class in Hugo. They courted for a couple of years, and were married when she was 16 and he was 18. They could be the longest-married couple in the state. The national record is believed to be 83 years, and the world record is 86 years.

Think they have a few children and grandchildren? No, not just a few … how about 175 on the family tree:

The Vail’s have six children, 39 grand children, 98 great grand children, and 32 great great grand children.

Wow. Congratulations to the Vails on 80 years of blessed marriage.
