Amazon invests in 43 Things |
The curious site 43 things which is based on people making lists of 43 things they’d like to do, now has a 44th thing: Amazon investing it it.
Amazon is dipping its toe in the Web log phenomenon with an investment in 43 Things, a new Web site where people write about their goals and accomplishments and are linked to others with similar interests. Amazon was tight-lipped about the deal. An Amazon representative would not disclose the size of its investment or elaborate on Amazon’s interest in the site.
I’ve looked at this website before and bookmarked, so tonight I finally registered for it and added a couple things to do. The site is intuitive to add things, allowing you to search through the list of things others want to do and naturally it comes with a custom RSS feed for your list of 43 (or less) things. Regarding the searching through other lists I picked up that several people wanted to write an application in Rails and learn more about Ruby programming. What is Rails?
Rails is a open source Ruby framework for developing database-backed web applications.
I’ve heard of Ruby gaining some ground but this was the first place that I saw several people talking about it instead of PHP.

[…] I wonder how many even have a list of the things they want to do? Sites like 43 things can help. […]
