Anti-spyware consortium COAST losing members over marketing moves |
The lines between spyware and anti-spyware aren’t as fuzzy to some anti-spyware companies. Webroot (Spy Sweeper) and Lavasoft (Ad-Aware) gain additional credibility and respect in this move to give COAST the boot, via Wayne Porter at revenews:
LavaSoft was the first defector a few months ago and now Web Root have announced they are leaving the sacred halls as well. I believe this is a good choice for their business.
COAST is short for the Consortium of Anti-Spyware Technology Vendors.
