I saw this in the recent issue of MacWorld, the Griffin Radioshark ($69.99 USD), and decided to make the plunge. MacWorld sort of billed this as a TiVo for radio. I listen to a lot of AM talk radio and hopefully this will allow me to timeshift my favorite talk radio shows. With MLB season starting up again in a few months I’m particularly interested in being able to record and listen to the Mariners games. The last few years I’ve ordered the radio package from mlb.com.

I currently pay for Jim Rome’s streamlink service because I cannot get very good reception inside our house for his show on FOX Sports radio. The odd thing is I can go out to our vechicles and the reception is just fine so I’m thinking I need a beefier antennae inside the house — so perhaps the RadioShark will work good. It is only for the Mac at this time and they say it’s backed up 2-3 weeks for shipping, but I’ll write more when I receive the RadioShark and try it out.
