Going postal at CES

travel — by TDavid @ 4:18 pm PST

Got back in town at like 2am this morning and have to say that CES 2005 was fantastic! If there is only one technology convention that can be attended every year then CES is it. Both my wife and I really, really enjoyed this show. Check out the United States Postal Office tricked out car with built-in LCD gaming above … now there’s a fun way to go postal! I am still trying to process all the information and my feet is in pain. I took a lot of pictures the last day. It’s like a kid in a candy store, pardon the cliche, for me to attend a show like this.

For those wondering what the real audio was like behind the Bill Gates keynote gaff where Windows was erroring out, you might want to go grab the convention audio (I did) and listen to it. Er, scratch that, the URL on the CD we bought the last day of the show mobiltape.com does not seem to offer the audio for sale (bummer). I bet somebody will rip that section of the keynote audio and make it a podcast or at least transcribe the conversation (if it hasn’t already been done yet, I didn’t do a search yet to find out). Conan O’Brien was funny and it was nice to hear a mix of humor with the tech info. I’ll have lots more to say and share about CES in the coming days as I continue to process the massive amount of show info.

Did this post make you go hmm?
