2005 prediction time |
This is the time of year that some people go all Miss Cleo on the rest of the web. Here’s some select crystal ball (one of my most favorite Styx songs, BTW) peerings I’ve come across in my RSS reads and my attempt in parenthesis to determine how serious these bloggers are (and sometimes that can be a tricky guess):
- Robert Scoble - 19 predictions (”a bit tongue in cheek” his words, not mine)
- Chris Pirillo - 10 predictions (humor)
- John Battelle - 17 predictions (serious)
- Adam Lasnik - Google to buy or partner up with Flickr prediction (serious)
If/when I come across more I’ll update this list, so you might want to bookmark this one. Also, if you find others in your reading (or have one yourself) then please comment or trackback (click on comments for the trackback URL) to here. Lastly, what about my 2005 predictions? I’m going to give them on the Script School Radio show later today (yes, we are having both shows today on Christmas Eve, including Webmaster Cookbook). It’s been a couple years since I’ve made any technology-related predictions. Why I stopped doing it, I’m not sure, but it’s kind of fun to make guesses, some of which are educated some of which are not, and then put a scorecard to them when the cycle comes around the next year.
