Auto-syncing capability with iTunes on a Mac means that the MP3 will automatically end up on you iPod if it’s connected. This is very handy and cool but it’s restricted to those who own a Mac and an iPod — or is it? Nope, this same thing is possible on Windows with other portable devices (PDAs, competing musical devices, etc) using Windows Media Player auto-syncing. Check out Randy Peterman breaking down, step by step, how FeedDemon users can emulate the Mac user experience on their other non-iPod portable devices on Windows:

1. Buy FeedDemon if you haven’t already
2. Download the beta
3. Setup the FeedStation (Tools | Open FeedStation)
4. Subscribe to feeds that have Enclusures (included in the beta, make sure you subscribe to teh PodCasting Channel Group)
5. If you set FeedStation to download the files at some time you’ll have to wait until they’re downloaded, otherwise once the downloads are there the playlists will be available in their respective players. No iPod or Rio needed!
