Podcast via MSN Spaces blog |
Today I have been having trouble getting connected to my MSN Spaces blog, as I’m guessing that Microsoft is just getting totally pounded with traffic.
Whew, glad I’m not paying their bandwidth bill! Anyway, Michael Lehman from SoftwareLand has figured out how to get MSN Spaces free blogging engine combined with Feedburner to create a podcast-enabled blog and writes in the Yahoo! podcasters group:
The issue I encountered is that MSN Spaces does not allow you to edit the HTML of a post and therefore I was unable to include the required rel=”enclosure” attribute of the tag. What I had to do was create the link in another HTML editor (with the attribute) and then, while in WYSIWYG mode copy the link and paste it into the MSN Spaces editor (which worked and brought the tag along). I’m in conversation with the feedburner people right now to see why they require this tag and if there’s any way around it.

Did this post make you go hmm?

If you’re having trouble editing the HTML code in IE, try another browser that doesn’t support the WYSIWYG features, and you’ll be good to go. I use Safari on OS X and Firefox on Win XP.
