Pivot starts supporting plugins, sort of |
Recently I noted that in the newest beta version of Pivot (1.20 beta 3) supports for a special plugin-type directory that they are calling ‘extensions’ — basically this allows developers to start wrapping in additional functions for use in the various Pivot templates. This is a welcomed addition and I hope they keep this going and expand so we start seeing wordpress-like plugins being developed for Pivot. Wordpress plugins are one of the coolest things about it, plus the simplicity of changing the design via stylesheet switches. Who knows, I might even develop a few plugins for Pivot. In the meantime, I did clean up the trackback stuff done awhile back for those who are interested the details are in the Pivot forums.
Good news for commenters! Since spam has all but disappeared on this blog after I added my own CAPTCHA, I went ahead and put back the straight URLs for those who leave comments so legitimate commenters can get some Google juice. Manual spam will still be removed. It’s an experimental thing so if it gets out of hand I’ll go back to running through a redirector. Okies, enough site maintenance, thanks for reading!
Did this post make you go hmm?
