First attended Seattle blogger meetup OPML of attendees blogs |
We did, in fact, make it out to the Seattle blogger meetup this evening and I was able to meet several bloggers for the first time including Dave Winer (Scoble and Pirillo didn’t make it), and I even recorded some audio of the event which I’d like to roll into a podcast when I get some free time. I do have some thoughts on the event including what I learned, the structure, general discussions, location, etc, but it’s kind of late now. Before I run along, I had promised to generate an OPML file [what is OPML?] of the blogs from all the meetup attendees tonight from Jake’s list over 8bitjoystick, so here it is:
seablogmeetup11172004.opml
To use this OPML file, just right click and download locally and then you can import into any RSS reader that supports OPML file importing. Why is this so cool? Because you don’t have to go around and individually hunt down and subscribe to each of the attendees RSS feeds (some I wasn’t able to locate, so I used Feedster search instead). For those not listed with a correct RSS feed, then please edit the file and trackback to this thread so that I can update here with the new file. Also, you can edit an OPML file (it’s just XML) with any standard text editor. Take a look at the format, it’s pretty easy to hand edit and make your own OPML files. Handy for categorizing groups of RSS feeds so if you ever have your blogroll corrupted, you can just re-import from the OPML file.
Did this post make you go hmm?

Thanks for the OMPL file! It was a pleasure meeting you at the Seattle Blogger Meet-up. Anita and her husband Jack did a great job. I love your weblog and look forward to reading it in the days, months, years to come.
Yours Truly,

Couldn’t do it this time - schedule got crunched. Good news: we’re moving here within a month!
