Mac users will get Google Desktop … someday |
Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt confirmed Friday that there would be a Mac version of the Google Desktop search client … someday.
Schmidt did not set a timetable for a Mac version of Google Desktop, saying it had to be rebuilt from the ground up because of the fundamental differences between the Mac OS and Windows.
I wonder how long this will take? Skype recently released a Mac version, which followed versions for Linux and Pocket PC. It took Skype over a year to get their Mac version to release status. Since we own a Mac now, I’d like to give that a try one of these days.
Did this post make you go hmm?
