The Hacks phenomenon now starring Feedster |
O’reilly has been publishing a series of excellent books on topics with the word ‘hacks’ after them like Google Hacks, Amazon Hacks and more. The concept is take a great product, service or program (or programming language) and offer quick tips on how to get more out of it and do cool and/or useful things that might not be well documented or known. They are not malvolent hacks, not at least from what I’ve read anyway, they are white hat hacks — good hacks. If you are a Safari subscriber then you can check out many, if not all these O’reilly books by doing a search for keyword: hacks. I’ve noticed a couple blogs following this trend and Feedster Hacks is the newest benevolent ‘hacks’ site on the web.
Feedster Hacks is a new clearinghouse blog run by Steven M. Cohen (he’s a librarian and someone I work with at ResourceShelf) that collects and organizes, “the various hacks that have been created with Feedster.”
Feedster Hacks has that new paint gleam and is a bit sparse in content at the moment, but I’m sure it will fill up. Go ahead and submit your Feedster hacks.
Did this post make you go hmm?
