VoIP is really here. I’ve mentioned here before that I’ve seen Vonage hardware in Best Buy and I even took a picture of it [9/10/07 9:35am PST: Textamerica linkrot] one of the last times I was in Best Buy.

VoIP telephony has seen more than its share of hype. But sales of the necessary hardware are surging, and subscriptions to residential services are strong. Leading service provider Vonage says it’s adding more than 25,000 lines per month to its network, and handling more than 5 million calls per week.

I’m surprised that Vonage isn’t doing 5 million plus calls per day, but I’ll keep telling all my friends, associates and clients about them.
