I’ve just tested the script, and it has a bit of a problem parsing some emails, mostly spam in weird character encodings I think. Once behavior modification has set in and people are used to GMail's paradigm, having the mass delete option or a single key move to trash isn't as threatening. My guess is that the feature will silently show up, maybe just as a shortcut key or other 'expert' user trick that will be unofficially undocumented...
