Time to dig up your AIM logins, sports fans. Free fantasy sports leagues now available at AOL and it is available for non-members as well as members.

America Online has begun offering free online fantasy-sports games to its paying members and outside Web users, as it attempts to attract and retain customers with new services. On Monday, the company launched fantasy leagues based around the National Football League and college football, and detailed plans to provide games for additional sports in the future.

I just logged in and checked it out. Firstly, not all the services are free but most seem to be: Draft-To-Play is free, Bid-To-Play is free, Pro Football Pick ‘em is free, Office Pool Manager is free, but Fantasy Football League Manager is $59.95. The Baseball section has several “coming in 2005″ features like: League Manager, Home Run Derby and Draft-To-Play. If you are into sports, and even if you are an occasional fan, these leagues can make the games more fun.
