One bummer thing to report from the road during our vacation. Coming up over a hill in a rental car, I saw a state trooper at the bottom just outside Jackpot, Nevada. The lights almost immediately came on and we pulled over to the side of the road. $109 later, I had my first speeding ticket. I suppose in the back of my mind I realized that the day would come when I’d join the ranks of the people busted for speeding. I utilyzed the cruise control much more after that. The trooper radared us at 86 in a 70 but only ticketed us for 80 in a 70 “because we were wearing our seatbelts” We were on a two lane highway in the desert with pretty much no other cars in sight. How many of the rest of you out there have ever gotten a speeding ticket and if so, do you feel it was deserved or not?
