Microsoft releases security fix for download.ject |
Better make a stop by the Windows Update center. I’m halfway thinking of changing this page to my start page with all the attacks being launched against Microsoft these days.
Configuration changes to the Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 operating systems introduced today do not fix the underlying problem with IE, but they do protect against the Download.Ject attack. The configuration changes are currently available on Microsoft%u2019s Download Centre and will be made available later today through Windows Update.
In Microsoft’s defense, I think if anybody else was king of the hill the attacks would be happening against them. I mentioned last week on the Script School radio show that if one is surfing new/unknown websites it would probably be wisest to use another browser.
Did this post make you go hmm?
