Listening to an hour plus interview with Evel Knievel on the Jim Rome show and Jim likes to call Evel: Evel “Freaking” Knievel and the title totally fits. I don’t think there is a bigger badass on the face of this earth right now and maybe in the history. Evel suffered 40 broken bones through his various daredevil jumps and still today lives to tell about some of the worst crashes ever caught on film. His biography gives the details. He told Jim that he was still carrying around some grudges with bullies from the first grade! He specifically sent out a message to Bobby Joe who was one of those bullies in the first grade. Evel says he’d like to “get even” and Jim’s recommendation was that Bobby Joe should avoid that meeting. Say that again! If you aren’t Bobby Joe, then you can catch Evel at the end of July for the Evel Knievel days in Butte, Montana and all around the Pacific Northwest.

Evel listed his five things for being a success in life:

1) have to believe in God
2) have to have your health 
3) have to have something to do that you love to do
4) have to have someone to love, to care about
5) have to have a dream
