XBox Live 3.0 coming: includes video conferencing and arcade |
Sounds like XBox is fishing for more money-making opportunities with the impending XBox Live Arcade which sounds like it will go head to head with Real Arcade. gameindustry.biz:
The Xbox Live Arcade, perhaps more interestingly, will be the first time that players will be able to download standalone game content from the Live service - with small games such as arcade classics Galaxian and Dig Dug, card games including Poker and Bridge and popular web games like Bejeweled being made available to Live users.
We just had our XBox Live subscription renewed (automatically) for the second year. Didn’t play it much the last 12 months and this will be the last renewal if there isn’t something really, really cool or significant happening this year. I would liket to check out Splinter Cell, but other than that, there isn’t much in the XBox Live that I’ve been all that interested in. What else am I missing on the XBox Live scene?
