William Hung’s 15 seconds could be up, folks starting to boo him

default — by TDavid @ 9:41 pm PST

While working today, I was listening to the Jim Rome show and Jim was going off about William Hung’s welcome in show business being worn out. A week or so ago Jim recounted how the L.A Dodgers had wanted Hung to do a brief promo for their billboard for a rally and William’s agent Dad wanted to know how much money William would receive for the performance. When the Dodgers replied no money (this was free promotion for his album after all), William’s agent Dad replied that William wasn’t interested. Apparently, at least some folks in Hung’s presence are starting to turn and have had it with the circus act: Sun Times:

Fans at Friday’s Pistons playoff game booed the halftime performance of “American Idol” reject William Hung (left). Guess that’s not their classic definition of the Motown sound.

And along the lines of reality show contestants that are real bad talent-wise, Fox News is reporting that ‘Superstar’ Producers lied to studio audience:

At a taping for the upcoming “bad talent” series, “Superstar USA” producers lied and told audience members that the talentless contestants were actually terminally ill patients from the Make-A-Wish Foundation

Not surprisingly the Make-A-Wish Foundation didn’t find this funny from this American Idol spoof.

  2. […] Some people are absolute freaks looking for their 15 minutes of fame (William Hung anyone?), which should make the rest of us even more gunshy about any sensationalistic, salicious experiments. Especially if it’s something clearly generated to hit the Digg front page. […]
