THE CONTEST IS OVER! Congrats to Lynne! Check your email inbox, Lynne, for an email from Kara, so she can get the necessary details to send the GMail invite to you!

Would you like to give your mother, wife or significant other who is a mother a GMail invitation for Mother’s Day? Or maybe you’d like to win an invite for yourself if you’re a mother or expecting mother?

My wife, Kara, has received one GMail invitation that she can share with another mother. Her mother is unavailable and my mother passed away in October 1996, so we would like to make this available to one of your mothers.

So, over the next 12 hours, until 10:30pm PST (Seattle Time) the selected mother of the person who posts in the comments area of this blog entry the most heartfelt Mother’s Day sentiment will win this invite. Kara will be the judge which entry she finds the sweetest and most sentimental Mother’s Day gift. This could be a short story, poem, letter, picture, whatever you can dream up.

CONTEST - HOW TO ENTER:
1. Using the comment area of this blog entry ONLY, add the text of what you want to say to mom. If you have supporting pictures, sound or other content you’ve created then you can put the URL in the entry and Kara will review along with the content posted in the comment area of this blog. You are welcome to crosspost to your blog and use trackback, but you must also post in the comment area to have your entry qualified for judging.
2. Winning GMail invitation must be sent to a female (it could be an expecting mother, it doesn’t have to actually be a mother, it just needs to be a female) — it’s a Mother’s Day gift after all! Fathers and sons you should be entering this contest for your mother. Women can enter for their mothers too.
3. Each entry must include the (first) name of the mom you want to win.
4. There is no limit to the number of entries per person, per email, so feel free to enter multiple times. Please no spam or off-topic comments, they will be removed.
5. A working email address is required for us to contact the winner. Use the comment form to enter in this email address.
6. Deadline for this contest is 10:30pm Pacific Standard Time today May 9, 2004. If there are no contest entries by this time or if the person Kara determines to be the winner’s email contact bounces (she’ll try more than once) then no invitation will be awarded. Kara reserves the right to go with her second or third choice if the email contact fails. The idea is to award this one GMail invite to a winner as a Mother’s Day gift.
7. The winner will be announced by midnight Pacific Standard Time by post to this makeyougohmm.com blog. The winner will be notified by @gmail.com address that they have won and the following additional information will be required: First Name and Last Name of mother to send GMail invitiation to.

Saw your wonderful competition….. Google has done a good thing and so do you, because you have decided to give an account as gift to a mom….

I dont know how to say about a Mother…. coz you can’t say that in words…. it should be experienced….

I think that what google has done is beautiful, and truly touching for mother’s day, and I think that you are doing such a noble thing by giving this account away to a mother.

If
I am asked to speak about God where whatever I say would be less

All are equal in this case but why Mother becomes important for me

God never seen or felt how he/she is,

I saw your posting on the ans board, i dont want the price but i sure wanna post something about my mom and the way i feel like a mom.Today started great i had a nice breakfast with a white rose (my favorite) on my bed from my 2 favorite man, my hubby and my 7 year old son, i missed my 9 year old daughter, she didnt want to make me breakfast because she was tired…….still she came after my hubby and son made the breakfast for me to my room and gave me a present she bought for me, my son made me a paper teapot:), i shared my breakfast with all and felt so special, now it was time to visite my mom, i bought her a great boucket of flowers and the bodylotion she likes from Dove:)lol I made her a drawing….me still laughing, she mention last time she loved the drawings my sister and i made when we where young, so me decide with the age of 35 to make a drawing for her like i did when i was young ( my dad has still a drawing which i made for him for fathers day when i was 5 year old on the wall in his bedroom , i made my dad with boobs:)I believe the drawing did it for her, she looked so happy…..i think its hard as a parent to see your kids grow older and see yourself getting older and you know, some time you wont be there anymore….This day i found out what it is to be a parent, my kids manage to ruin my mothersday for me, so disrespectfull and no listening, it ment nothing for them ..mothersday..now my kids are 7 and 9, i thought what do they know….after a 100 times warning them at my moms house, we went home, it was enough, at home my daughter and son took the presents they made and bought for me back…….me went wow??? i said do you guys just know what you did? yes they said you warned us so much we regret we gave you this……did it hurted they said that? yes..it hurted, my hubby is on this moment very angry and he punish them and grounded them, his words where: your mom does do everything for you 2 the whole year and you cant even do one thing for your mom on mothersday, you both still think its me me? I know my hubby is right, we try to raise those kids with respect, but i have still mixed feelings thinking they are young what do they know? I feel sorry for them that they are grounded, yep thats me i am a mom and even threated bad by my kids its my job to take care of them and i give my life for them…….this day i found out ….how it is to be a mom, i felt so sorry for my mom, i know i gave her a hell time in my teenager years, she always told me , your will find out when you have kids yourself, and still when giving her a bad time and she got fights with my dad because of me, she still ackted like a mom, as a mother you do all for your kids and hope they will understand later when they are older!!! And i wanna say : mom you know i love you and i will always be there for you like you did for me, even i cause fights between you and the man(my dad) you have been with for 39 years, i know you both have a hard time raising me with the age of 15 and 16…you both did good, see me now!!!!:)…..when i was younger i didnt understand, but hell i do know understand now, you are so right , i would find out when i am older, and i did, i hope you and dad will be a long time around me, i am crying now….yeah yeah, me weeny:), when you both are 85 dont forget i am 70 then we can play cards at the oldies home together…….Love Ingrid
