Comcast Fires TechTV Staff television — by TDavid @ 9:15 pm PST

Comcast is shaking up TechTV, er at least shaking up the location of TechTV, according to a blog entry from Leo Laporte: The Laporte Report -

… all the employees of TechTV have been given 60 days notice. The San Francisco operation will be shuttered by July. 100 of the existing jobs will be posted for those willing to relocate to LA.

Oddly enough, I haven’t watched TechTV since switching from DirecTV to Comcast cable a couple months ago. It costs extra on Comcast cable and we haven’t paid the extra 6 bones a month to get it. See the blog entry about that below.

1. I’ve just discovered that Leo and the Call for Help show has been discontinued. What a stupid move! Nw what do we Newbies do? Where can we go for our daily Leo fix? Screensavers is OK but it’s just not the same…….

2. Hi Hermit - Leo has a weekly radio show. I wonder if there is an internet feed of it available like Jim Rome does through Premiere. Maybe Leo will publish something on his own.
