Well no XSN games except for RalliSport Challenge 2. I originally found out about this game line cancellation from ActiveWin and I’ve got mixed opinions on this one.

The Xbox product line-up received a major setback today, with Microsoft announcing its decision to cancel the entire range of XSN Sports titles for the console this year, citing quality issues with the games in the line-up.

If the games suck, don’t put them out, that’s a good call, the other thing is I wonder why every year a new sports game needs to be released anyway. The market is saturated with these me too sports titles. Yes, there are subtle improvements in them from year to year in graphics and realism, but it would seem to me better to release one killer engine and then patch it through the XBox live system for say a small fee. I realize that there is more money in releasing a new game but as a customer I don’t see that many reasons to buy the killer update sports game. Sure there are exceptions like Madden football, but there are always exceptions.
