Metallica is selling access to soundboard recordings of their concerts in mp3 (128k/44) and FLAC file via livemetallica.com on its current tour.



I think this is a fantastic idea and would like to see more bands do this. The last Metallica concert I saw was the Ride The Lightning tour, which was a long time ago. Though I am still a bit pissed at their hypocrisy over the whole Napster thing and wasn’t overly impressed with St. Anger (it was “ok”), I like the new direction they are going as far as making their music available to fans. My wife and I just picked up tickets to see them live in Seattle at the Key Arena next Sunday (March 28, 2004). Anybody else going to this concert? Drop us a line!
