Vonage upgrades voice mail |
Vonage, one VoIP alternative for those with broadband wanting to escape outrageous phone bills, has upgraded their (FREE) voicemail:
As part of our continuing efforts to provide the best in class features and service, early this morning we completed an upgrade to our voice mail system. One of the several improvements includes the ability to schedule greetings based on the user’s local time zone rather than Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Related to this enhanced service, all customers who have enabled “scheduled greetings” previous to this upgrade will need to access their voice mail to change the time of their greetings to match their local time zone.

We cancelled our business voice mail through the traditional phone company today because we bought a digital answering machine. We were paying $12.50 per month for this service that Vonage offers their subscribers at no additional cost.

We use Vonage + Comcast 100% for residential use and Vonage + DSL 75% for business. We use Skype for both businesses and have experienced more call quality issues with Skype than Vonage. […]
