A Post-Mortem of Thanksgiving |

Well, another day of carnage has drawn the deaths of millions of innocent creatures. And the repercussions will echo throughout the lives of those who ate them, and those who didn’t.
Amazing how good ignorance is at accomplishing total mind control.
But feelings aren’t as easily contained. Even the indigestion pills don’t wash them away. I don’t believe that it’s just a coincidence that Thanksgiving is the official start of ‘the season of depression’… leading up to the great consumer malaise known as X-Mass, You know, short for:
“It doesn’t matter what religion You are, just buy a bunch of stylish junk anyway.”
But unless they’ve been taking a dump regularly, or contracted for pick up, lots of folks don’t have anymore more room for anymore stylish junk, so the first required trip may be to the junkyard to get rid of the old stylish junk to make room for the new stylish junk. If they can find a junkyard that’s still open and still has room.
So with that as a background, I just thought I’d kind’a bring back up the much abhorred topic of all those out there who don’t have enough new stylish junk… or old stylish junk… or even just plain old stuff… really, believe it or not, they’re out there… not enough stuff to eat, not enough roof to sleep under, not enough warm stuff to wrap around themselves when the wind blows, and more and more often now not even enough clean water to drink. And You know they have one thing in common with the junkies… they can’t contain their feelings either… perhaps a bit different though, like hunger, cold, pain, abandonment by the rest of Humanity…
Oh well, the corporations are telling us it’s party time, so I guess I should set my watch by them and go out and party… hmmm… but You know, somehow I just don’t feel like it.
