Promos are supposed to tease, but Fox isn’t really teasing that much with its newest episode promo for the show 24, is it? I mean there is Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in this chemical suit yelling: “The virus is out!” Ok, so there is now little doubt about the virus getting out. I figured that they would drag out this virus thing for a few episodes, milking the possibility of the virus getting out, but no way now, that chemical suit and Jack Bauer’s exclamation are leaving nothing to chance. Well, maybe what will be left to chance is at what part in the show later tonight (3:15pm? 3:30pm? 3:45pm? 3:59 pm?) will the virus actually get out and we can live out that suspenseful moment (not!) when the virus is out. So far I’ve liked this season’s first two shows, despite some potentially confusing plot and character advancements (The President’s “I’ll handle that” brother? Where was he the first two seasons?) but I think the Fox ad teasers run way too much and way too often. Then again, maybe there are a few folks who haven’t learned that the virus is out.

Oh and BTW, who does the hiring for the CTU anyway? That place has more moles (Hector alert) than my lawn As much as I complain about these things, I’ll still be there tonight, microwave popcorn in hand.
