- kstaken prefers Rhapsody over iTunes and is an avid Mac user
- pk signed up on September 24, 2003 for Rhapsody and says: “This is addictive” and says of the iTunes more recently: The new iTunes is great. However there are not enough documentation on how to use it. Anyone knows what is the blue checkbox for at the beginning of each song title? And, how do I sync the iPod if I do not have iTunes set to automatic sync?
- Audioworld gives Rhapsody 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
- quickly and easily build links directly to iTunes music using the iTunes link manager
- Lots of talk out there regarding iTunes making 1 million downloads in 3 1/2 days as well as selling 1 million songs in 3 1/2 days whereas before having the Windows version they were averaging 300,000 music downloads per week. I still haven’t paid for a download, but I am sure I will as soon as I go music shopping.
- the first review of the new Napster which will be available Oct 29 (register now and get 5 free songs) It sounds like they are going to offer a subscription service (similar to Rhapsody or just for some built-in radio stations and music magazine?) as as well as burning natively to WMA format, but they won’t require users to pay that fee in order to download/burn songs. Premium users also can send songs to other subscribers or see what they are buying and streaming.
-
Budja hates US-only offers It seems the online music services haven’t really addressed this situation to date. Do they not realize the most online users are not in the US?
- Musicmatch versus iTunes: ”It does rankle us a bit that people are saying we are copying iTunes,” says Dennis Mudd, Musicmatch’s chairman and chief executive officer, who says his firm has been planning for such a service since the late 1990s.
