This is promising technology. Deane from <a href=http://www.gadgetopia.com/2003/10/14/SeeingDaredevilStyle.html>Gadgetopia</a> linked this story: <a href=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3171226.stm>Blind ’see with sound’</a>  I was having trouble hearing recently (swimmer’s ear?) and quickly realized how much I take for granted hearing and seeing. That awful movie Daredevil with Ben Affleck showed a fictional example of a comic book superhero who had superhuman hearing to detect sound.
