How to use callto tags with Skype |
Loading ...I just read Stuart Henshall’s question about how to use callto tags and the answer is to embed in an A HREF tag like this:
So to call me via Skype you’d just make sure that Skype was installed, running and then click the following link: call me using Skype
Note: Some blogging software might screw up the A HREF code because it doesn’t match their regular expression for normal links so if you try to enter that code inside your normal weblog entries then you might want to put the code in your templates or some other place where a script is not trying to interpret the code you type. Or hack your blogging software code to accept callto tags.
Im just using IE6 and the cllto:// tag opens an 404 error new window.

is there some way to see why skype isn’t associating with callto tags?
i reinstalled the last verion of skype, make sure its associated with callto tags, restart computer and nothing. All i get is an “Invalid syntax error” The page cannot be displayed page (i already have user friendly error messages turned off). Im using IE6 + Win2k.

I am trying to use the callto: procedure to call someone through the Contact webpage of the site, but the TAG only work if Skype is not running. Then in this condition I click on the link and callto: open Skype and call the other side. But if I first run Skype and click on the page link, then the procedure does not function.
Someone has any ideia, what is happening? - I am using Win98SE and Skype v2.x
