“Skypers” unofficially defined as Skype phenomenon continues to grow |
Several searches to this blog for Skype information, not to mention when I first looked at Skype this morning I saw 11,000+ users online (screenshot) which was the most I’ve seen online to date. And as of the time I’m writing this there are 11,507. Things had winded down a bit at the end of yesterday going beneath 4,000 users as folks were going out for Friday night. The skype logo still shows 160,000 downloads. My guess is the next update will show over 200,000 downloads. I’ll admit it, I’m skypdicted. I wonder how many skype-isms will be created? Yesterday, during my weekly radio show at Script School we were chatting about Skype and I wondered if there would be “skypers”. Here’s the (un)official definition:
skypers (pronunciation: sky-purse) - people who call you the moment before you get out of your chair to do something else. A skype equivalent of eBay snipers.
Did this post make you go hmm?
